About Rachel
I’ve been helping people find their deeper sense of purpose for the last four years, professionally. But I’ve been believing in people’s greater gifts all my life.
What I love about this work is that I get to show people the loving truths that they don’t yet see about themselves. I get to help create everyday magic through personal transformation.
I have an MFA in Poetry from the University of Florida and an MA in Applied Behavioral Sciences (meaning I’m trained as a psychotherapist) from LIOS at Bastyr University. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of Washington (MC 60160405).
I am a trained Family Constellations facilitator and an Enneagram teacher. My therapeutic foundation is humanistic and focused on Internal Family Systems (IFS) work.
If you want to see who inspires and teaches me, along with some resources I love, check out my Amazon store.
On a personal note, I live in Seattle with my dog. I love the (sadly infrequent) sun, movies, and books, and I dance as often as I physically can.
Here’s a quote that speaks to my philosophy on my profession and my life:
“This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being a force of nature instead of being a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.
I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no ‘brief candle’ to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.”
-George Bernard Shaw
